Our story

Welcome to Cafe Nookie – your cosy coffee nook in the heart of Surry Hills.

A true hole-in-the-wall, Cafe Nookie is nestled into a tiny spot on Cleveland Street, where good coffee and good company go hand in hand. Since 2009, this little window has been a favourite among locals for its friendly service, creative charm, and consistently excellent coffee.

In 2024, Milo Zhu took over the reins, bringing new life to the space while keeping the homely feel that’s made Nookie so loved. We now proudly serve award-winning coffee from Little Italy Coffee Roasters, known for its rich flavour and smooth finish. Every cup is brewed with care – perfect for your morning ritual or a quick pick-me-up.

Whether you’re a regular or just wandering through Surry Hills, you’ll always find a warm welcome at our tiny counter. Nookie might be small, but it’s packed with heart.
